This Sunday was our last time to worship with our sweet church. Such a sad day. I did not even realize how sad I would be until we sat down and started singing. Our pastor pointed out during the service that today would be our last day and it really hit that this is it. Tears filled my eyes as I thought of all the memories we have made in our church. It made me think of when Ella was born and how our church stepped up and took care of us with prayer, love, food and encouragement. I thought of our small group that we have been attending for four years and the friendships we have made. It is truly a blessing to have such a wonderful church family.
During the service I knew Christ was speaking to me as we were worshiping with the words in each song. We started singing “Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus” and the words helped me to see Gods hands and His reassurance that He is in control and sending us to a place that he thinks is best for us. We have been praying for months that we would trust is Jesus to lead and direct us and just singing this song reminded me of our prayers and how He answered them in his perfect timing.
At the end of the service we sang a song called “God will take care us you”.
Through days of toil when heart does fail
God will take care of you
When dangers fierce your path assail
God will take care of you
All you may need He will provide
God will take careof you
Nothing you ask will be denied
God will take care of you
No matter what may be the test
God will take care of you
Lean, weary one, upon His breast
God will take care of you
Again just Him showing me that all will be ok. We will find a house, we will make it there (Adam’s boss has yet to give us dates and times and when and where, if you know Adam and myself we love to plan. Just another way God is always teaching us. PATENCE!), we will find a church and make new friends.
Anyway, just wanted to share our love for our church and what a blessing it is to have such a church family. Thank you East Cobb for being our home for almost five years.
